Dennis Smith said: Ease of installation and setup are greatly improved over older AMD chipset boards. I experienced some disappointing quality issues though. I've had to return my board because of improperly soldered AC97 audio connectors and the AGP port died and early d

|Wendle Ives has pushed a CPU with a default speed of 700MHz up to 850MHz! |
Remarks: Using Northwind's GFD rev 2 Athlon overclocking card. What a difference! I took it slow only advancing 50MHz at a time and letting it run for a day or so in between changes. I have only had to push the Vcore up to 1.65 volts so far and I might go for 900MHz soon. Not half bad for a chip that cost me less than $250.00

Comment: humanjoy... Try to collect an Athlon overclocker card. Other solution is to replace the resistors on the CPU board. (Easy, but needs electronical skills)

Comment: Could not get the EP-7KXA loaded with win98. Too unstable, with random lockups - even in safe mode.

Comment: Just got this board up and running (had to wait an extra day for my Athlon 750 to arrive) and man, what a difference over my old super7 board (also and Epox!) This setup really screams. I am glad I waited for the VIA chipset - KX133, as I use an AGP X 4 graphics card and PC133 SDRAM. Now to find an easy to use overclocking card to go along with it. Anyone got a recommendation???
