This is ABIT's premier, all around full-featured, full spec 440BX motherboard for SOHO or multimedia environments. It has soffical support for Intel's newest PentiumŽIII 450- 500MHz and PentiumŽII 350 -450MHz processors running on the 100MHz system bus as well as being backwards compatible to support PentiumŽII 233 ~ 333MHz processors.

It comes with WinBond chipset for hardware monitoring of fan speed, voltages, and system temperature capabilities.
The BX6 Rev. 2.0 comes with Four DIMM sockets enhanced by the 6 chip Data Buffer set, providing enough stable main memory capacity for any business computing, 3D gaming, multimedia, applications and CAD/CAM type applications.

Daniel Vega has pushed a CPU with a default speed of 500MHz up to 560MHz!

Remarks: My plans are to get a larger Tower Case, a Hard Drive cooler for my 7200RPM Drive, a Alpha P3125 cooler and a 50watt peltier cooler. I'm going to aim for about a 700MHz speed and sub 30C temp. I'll repost what happens.

Remarks: Bought it promised it would work at 550. In slot 1 adapter. Had some probs with temp line in too far(breaking connection with heat sink) Bought it at www.outsideloop.com core voltate 2.10 Works great and fast as Sh**!
